The focus on the Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter is a radically different way of reproducing high-frequency detail highly efficiently and accurately.

With similar cabinet technology to the ELYSIAN gives these speakers a stable and solid foundation for the drivers with edges that aids in the integration of the driver output with the room acoustics. Plus, the unique SLPP bass reflex system, developed for the ELYSIAN, are incorporated in the EVO 4's.

The most notable addition in the Evo range is the use of Wharfedale's specially engineered AMT (Air Motion Transformer) transducer for its proprietary, super smooth high-frequency representation. The AMT tweeter allows for a higher volume of air to be moved during playing than with a conventional soft dome tweeter.

The higher-pressure action, gives you the listener an improved point-source HF reproduction with lower distortion properties than conventional tweeters. The effect of the new tweeters is highly evident in the stunning and clarity of the musical performance with the EVO 4 range of loudspeakers.

The lower frequencies are handled articulately and accurately by the bi-directional weaved Kevlar cones, used since as woven Kevlar is naturally self-damping to reduce and distribute resonances to virtually negligible levels. Plus, a fixed, profiled phase plug ensures smooth acoustic roll-off, which aids the integration with the AMT HF unit and mid-range drivers found in the EVO4.2 upwards. The Evo 4's have been created to appeal to the audiophile and the home-theatre enthusiast, giving superior performance in tight spaces, with the compact EVO4.1 and 3-way EVO4.3, there is also the option of extension of bass, volume and impact in the 3-way 4.2 or 4.4.

The 4C offers enhanced clarity of dialogue while the 4S surround speakers immerse the user in a genuine theatre experience. Whichever model is considered, EVO4 will exceed any expectation. Bass Driver: 6.5(150mm) black woven Kevlar cone x 2.
