IPL Acoustics S5TL Tower Floorstanding speakers
For sale is a IPL Acoustics S5TL speaker. The item is in Stoke On Trent and will have to be collected. If you are looking at it, you know how good the speakers are heard how good they sound. They are 3 way speakers with ribbon tweeters. This speaker was built by a fellow enthusiast who used aircraft grade gule and techniques to build it. The whole build oozes quality. The speaker has granite slab glued together with wood and then stuck to the base of the speaker to stop resonance. You can see the layers from the picture. It also has milled and polished aluminium blocks glued to the granite slabs that further isolate the speakers. The are built in a tripod fashion with 3 for each speaker to have maximum stability. It is also hand painted to mimic Zebrano wood too, not veneer like normal speakers.
It has served me an year and a half. Since moving house, I have changed all my AV systems to black, so cant have these in the living room anymore. My office room is not large enough to acccomodate this, otherwise would have kept it. Contemplated painting in black and blackening the kevlar cones, but i will be doing dis-service to the painter and the speakers themselves. So someone out there is going to get a top pair of speakers.

It has been told in forums that they compete with speakers multiple times their price, which is true from myexperience. The speakers are very heavy weighing upwards of 35 Kgs each. Also as a minimum need a saloon car with seats folded down or estate car with folded down seats to collect. You are welcome to ask me if you have any questions or need more pictures.
