Here is a pair of Art Prestige 6 floorstanding speakers. They were never supplied with grills, but the bases do have threaded inserts to accommodate floors spikes if you wish to use some (not supplied in this sale). These were made by Art Loudspeakers in Troon Scotland.

While the company still exists I have been unable to get any information from it on these specific models. These Prestige 6 speakers look very similar in aesthetics to the company's Alnico 8 speakers, and while similar in size weigh perhaps half the weight, so they are definitely NOT an earlier named version of the Alnico 8.

Another model you may find mentioned online is the Stiletto 6 but this has a very different design of cabinet and speaker location. As I say, I have tried to get hold of the company, but with no luck. Whatever the reality of where these speakers lie in Art's model range, these are unquestionably high end speakers.

Condition report: These speakers are in lovely condition. The wood veneer cabinets are almost completely unmarked, and certainly there is no damage whatsoever to any edges, which are super clean. The main drivers are also totally unmarked. The only thing to mention is that there appears to be some very subtle sinkage in the substructure below the veneer, This occurs every couple of inches in horizontal lines down the cabinet and you can just feel this in the surface of the veneer.

If you look closely at the side images of the speakers and look towards the top of the cabinets you'll just make out some horizontal lines which are the dips. In reality, they are otherwise in stunning condition. In use: I have given these an extended test at home and they are very, very impressive speakers - certainly one of the best pairs of speakers I've ever heard.

Summary: A stunning looking pair of speakers that deliver absolutely brilliant sound. While you can find ART Loudspeakers' website online and view its current range, I can find absolutely zero about this particular model! Please note that all items are packed wearing gloves. I use a studio to show the items in as much detail as possible. I must stress, that I have not serviced this item, just described its current cosmetic and operational condition as honestly as I can.

I only use brand new double wall boxes and all internal packaging is via ethafoam... This is the perfect foam to keep items well located and far superior to bubble wrap. Please do NOT enable a'safe place' option where the courier can put your large box with its precious hifi vaguely behind a bin where it can be seen by passers by... It may not be there when you get home! My contract with DPD is for a'signed for' service.
