B&W 683 Floorstanding Speakers Original Plinths & Boxes Bowers & Wilkins HiFi

B&W 683 Floorstanding Speaker - with Original Plinths & Boxes. A superb sounding pair of speakers in good working order. I believe they were the largest speakers in the 680 series, hence the dual bass driver arrangement. They will come with the plinths as pictured and the original packaging boxes. The plinths made a night and day difference to the bass response and overall sound in my room. Having heard alot of the older 600 series speakers, I would say these generally sound like a more serious and accurate speaker. They are in very good cosmetic condition (please see pictures), there are a couple of light marks about the cabinets and a slight tear on one grille as pictured, but they have clearly been taken care of. A couple of the small clips attached to the grille are missing/broken (pictured), though these are easy and cheap to replace, I didn't bother as the grilles still hold on tight.

All of the drivers sound as they should, the mid and bass drivers are in superb condition, the surrounds on the bass drivers are good and supple. The tweeters show a little cosmetic creasing, which is very common for B&W speakers, they still sound superb and may "pop out" with some light tlc on the diaphragms.
