Like the rest of the range, the Opticon 6 mk2 floor-standing speakers have been revised with Dali's latest technology to deliver better audio quality than ever before. But still keeping with the Opticon signature look. As speakers designed to be installed in large listening spaces, these are a perfect for your home speaker system if you need something somewhat discrete and aesthetically pleasing. With two 6½ woofers the Opticon 6 packs a huge punch.
Housed in a compact enclosure that stands only 1 metre tall you certainly save real estate without compromising sound. Both woofers are made up of Dali's distinct design, which is a mix of paper and wood fibre, which gives it its surface resonance.

Dali's Opticon Mk2 series sits above Dali's Spektor and Oberon ranges, essentially designed for somebody that wants improved sound quality but at a more affordable cost than Dali's higher ranges. Dual flare technology has been introduced to the mk2 series that ensures bass performance is fully optimised.Dual Flare uses the previously unused acoustic output from the rear of its bass driver to improve its lower frequency response. The Opticon 6 mk2 uses the new lightweight 29mm soft dome tweeter, which has also been introduced across the entire mk2 series. However, the Opticon 6 marries this with a custom 17x 45mm ribbon tweeter. The aim of this is to keep the audio consistent throughout the whole frequency spectrum, up towards 30khz!
The Opticon 6 Mk2 enclosure is manufactured at the Dali factory in Denmark, along with all the other components, so you can be ensured that the quality is just as impressive as the audio. It is designed to optimise rigidity and minimise panel resonance by employing internal bracing. It's supplied with cast aluminium foot components that can be fitted with either black chrome plated floor-spikes or vibration damping pads, depending on your needs.
