Floorstanding Di-Pole Speakers

Pair of unusual Floorstanding stereo speakers in piano gloss black finish, with chamfered edge cabinets sturdily constructed from 18mm MDF. Grills are present and in good condition. I acquired these in an estate sale and as such have very limited information on them. They are a 2.5 way, bass reflex, di-pole speaker which I imagine is a custom build.

There is a forward firing 6inch woofer with accompanying forward firing, horn-loaded 1 inch tweeter. To the rear is a bass port along with a second rear firing tweeter designed to give more lifelike high frequency coverage using reflected sound. Quite an unusual design and not something I have come across often. As I say, a bit of an oddity but very interesting design and really very decent sound reproduction in an attractive package.
