Focal JM Lab Cobalt 816S Floor Standing Speakers. These are my Focal JM Lab speakers, which are now up for sale. I have thoroughly enjoyed them for years, their midrange presentation is fantastic and with correct placement can deliver a deep textured soundstage. I would prefer not to sell them as I love their "voicing" and they are hard to find, however I don't have space to put them into storage. Cosmetically there are some marks on the cabinets from the previous owner, with one chip on the top right corner of one speaker (mostly hidden by grille) and some small marks to the veneer. Overall I would say they are in a decent, presentable cosmetic condition, but are not as new. Both woofers on both speakers are in fantastic condition, both tweeters have had their diaphragms glued due to lifting, they are working fine. One grille is lightly bent but this is hard to see when it is on the speaker. They are a nice looking speaker, with an exposed crossover at the rear and matching serial numbers, that will have been quite expensive new.

They outperform some much more expensive speakers I have heard and would make a solid front stage on their own in a Hi-Fi setup, even with a modest amplifier. I powered them using a Rotel RB1510 which has only 2 x 65 watts into 8 ohms, using a Sanskrit 10th as a preamp and the odd time I raised the volume (neighbours) this small amplifier was plenty power for them to keep their composure. I don't mind meeting locally with the speakers, otherwise these are collection only due to size and weight.
