THIS PAIR IS IN LIGHT CHERRY WHICH IS THE LIGHTER COLOUR OF THE PHOTOS 2 & 3 (THE MAIN PHOTO SHOWS ROSEWOOD NOW OUT OF STOCK). Downsizing our warehouse space means we have lots of clearance bargains. These loudspeakers have been opened and briefly used for demonstration, but are almost perfect with original box and packing. 8" Full range unit with "Rare earth HF dome. Developed to provide nearly double the bass output of a 6 unit. "Long Throw" overcomes the need for a complex "horn" cabinet. Specially designed for very low power "Single Ended" and PP Valve amplifiers. The lack of "crossover" means there are no losses between the amplifier and speaker drive unit therefore only a few watts are required for a (very) loud volume.

This also means that the sound is not altered by capacitors, resistors or inductors in a crossover resulting in a very pure sound. These speakers are very efficient, so higher powered amplifiers are no recommended.

Icon unique 8 Full range drive unit. Rare earth high frequency dome. Custom paper cone for optimum bandwidth. Long throw coil and roll surround for extended bass.

Designed and tested with low power valve amplifiers. Suitable for amplifiers 6 Watts or more. Real wood veneer finish: Walnut, Cherry. Internal wire: high purity, low impedance copper.
