The Piano Black finish is now a now discontinued KEF Reference finish, allowing us to pass on huge savings to you. The Kef Reference 3 Speakers are the smallest floorstander in the Reference range. They contain the same DNA as the larger Reference 5, but are housed in a more modest cabinet.

The Kef Reference 3 Speakers come equipped with KEF's new version of the Uni-Q driver. With a state-of-the-art 25mm vented aluminium dome tweeter at the exact acoustic centre of a highly sophisticated 125mm 5 inch mf hf Uni-Q driver, both act together to deliver a sound that fills your listening space with a flawless natural sound.

A new 165mm bass driver sets the Kef Reference 3 a class apart. The flexible port technology used in the award winning LS50 has been further refined and is now present in the Kef Reference 3 Speakers. Designed for fine-tuning the bass output to your personal taste and the room characteristics. The flexible port technology has a profile of each port calculated by computational fluid dynamics, this is done to avoid turbulent air noise that might colour the sound.

The Kef Reference 3 Speakers crossover is built with the highest grade components the KEF engineers could find that offered the lowest distortion and the smoothest response. Nothing has been overlooked, the Reference 3 crossovers are mounted on separate boards and decoupled from the cabinet walls to minimise vibration and crosstalk. The Reference 3 Speaker cabinets have been finished by hand in pair matched wood veneers. Computer optimised the Kef Reference cabinets are designed to absorb residual vibrations, eliminate any panel resonance and cabinet colouration.
