The Horn loading maximises efficiency and increases detail while focusing high frequencies towards the listening area. Proprietary hybrid Tractrix geometry provides for a very efficient transfer of high-frequency waves into the listening area.
The phase plug and compressed moulded silicon facia ensure an incredibly smooth frequency response. When these elements are combined, you get the cleanest, most natural sound possible is created. The exclusive Linear Travel Suspension (LTS) minimises distortion for enhanced and detailed performance.
The LTS tweeters are a hallmark of the previous Reference lines, making them a core component of some of the best speakers in the world. The vented tweeter housing also reduces standing waves that can cause unwanted harmonics, resulting in very enhanced detail and clarity in the high-frequency components. With Tractrix geometry, the Reference Premiere ports give you a highly efficient, and fast air transfer from the cabinet, which reduces any possible port noise for punchier low-frequency components.
The Klipsch Tractrix ports have custom designed inner flaring that helps to reduce air turbulence entering the port. As is known, less turbulent air helps reduce port noise for cleaner, more powerful bass. With double input, terminals allow for bi-wiring / bi-amping capabilities. Bi-wiring the high and low-frequency current into separate speaker cables, reducing intermodulation distortion, for clearer midrange. Bi-amping allows for customisation using outboard crossovers when using separate amplifiers.
