Designed to communicate the spirit of a Scottish ceilidh, the Linn Keilidh loudspeaker delivers an outstanding level of performance and value. The Keilidh's proportions, real wood finish, and unique frameless grille give it the same elegant styling as Linn's top-of-the-range Keltik Aktiv loudspeaker.

The floor-standing design of the Keilidh maximises internal volume while occupying slightly less than a square foot of floor space. To enhance stability and performance, an integral base plate is fitted with adjustable floor spikes.

Additional performance advantages may be realised through the use of Linn's optional granite composite base plates. Also fitted with stabilising floor spikes, these optional stands provide a larger footprint, lower centre of gravity, and increased mass, further improving stability and resolution.

The Keilidh is an extremely versatile loudspeaker and can be used in a particularly wide range of configurations, making it easy to upgrade a hi-fi system in affordable steps. A two-way system, the music signal to the Keilidh is split between a treble and two mid/bass units, and possible configurations range from single-wired passive through a variety of upgrades to fully active performance. As you may have noticed from the weight of the Keilidh's they are most solidly built. The wood veneered cabinet is braced over its entire height and contains both fibre sound absorbent and Linn Ku-Stone composite surface wave absorbent.

The crossover is built using high quality components and wiring is minimised by the input sockets being soldered directly to the crossover. The ceramic dome tweeter is the same unit we use on the Kaber and Keltik loudspeakers and gives astonishingly clean and sweet transients. One you really can have a ceilidh with. Note: Turntable warranties cover the mechanical and electronic components but exclude the cartridge/stylus.

Established in 2003, 2ndhandhifi is the UK's largest stockist of used quality audio equipment.
