Lumley Lampros 300 floor standing speakers
My beautiful Rosewood finished Lumley Lampros 300 speakers. There are a couple of knocks to the veneer at the top of one side but otherwise excellent condition. These outstanding bi-wirable speakers are so involving to listen to it breaks my heart to let them go. The output of the ribbon tweeter and ribbon supertweeter can be separately controlled by rotating plugs on the back and the rear port has foam plugs so that the speakers can be tuned to almost any room position. They do however require at least a 150watt amplifier or a valve one that can deliver high current.
I initially used them with my baby Krell 75 watt pre/power but they sounded poor. I spoke to John Jefferies (the designer) and he explained they offer a 16 ohm load to the amp and need more power than the Krell could deliver.
In my 50 plus years of hifi I have never heard a better speaker. As they weigh about 50kg each they are a 2 man lift and will need to be collected from High Wycombe. I may be able to deliver at cost but I have no boxes so that would be at your own risk. You are welcome to audition them (by arrangement, message me) in fact if you are not familiar with high end speakers like these I would strongly recommend you listen to them first!
