But run in parallel resulting in a cabinet impedance of the stated 8 Ohm'sp. As a result this gives the extended superbly controlled bass response all the way down to 20hz and when placed correctly the tightness and control of that impressive bass is still to be equalled to this day in my opinion. We are in the realms of studio monitors such as Adams or Genelics here but with the musicality and character of hi end hi-if speakers! The mirror imaged HF units are actually best kept on the insides for the strongest image and time alignment and are smooth yet detailed and fast somehow.
That's partly because they are partnered with a Cyrus bi-amp setup. They really are a marvel. I can't place them anywhere but against a wall in my little stone cottage up here in the highlands and that results in simply to much low end for me And difficulty with the stereo stage depth, and I can't live with that knowing how they can and should sound. You will find it difficult to find any info on these on the internet So I'd invite you to come visit with a few of your favourite CD's or LPs and see /hear if these are for you.
But one thing is assured. You will be the proud owner of some of the rarest and most glorious speakers this side of a 10k asking price even though they are over 20 years old. Call for a chat and further info anytime. I've no idea what I'll ever replace them with? But I've got my eye on some very rare tanburgs at 4K that used to be main monitors in a studio I was trained in back in the late 80's back in my distant youth. They are not in mint cosmetic condition but what speakers over 25 years old are really in mint condition None the less I would not want to risk having them damaged or driver displacement resulting from them being transported inappropriately! Of course we could discuss this if I'm simply to far away for a drive and listen. As an aside these speakers have a very interesting history and I acquired them as a result of working in a very interesting recording studio and falling in love with them at 1st listen. AMany thanks for reading this very long add.
