The large volume cabinets loads the driver compression making the drivers have to work less hard than smaller stand mounted offerings. Bass response is one of the best in class. The speaker driver configuration, isolates the two low frequency drivers at the base of the cabinets, from the tweeter and mid range. This really helps separation and reduces muddiness at the 350Hz range. It is a very clever setup.

Stereo imaging width is impressive, the sound stage is well defined with excellent spatial positioning. Vocals hang above the mid point between the speakers.
