Rogers LS55 Floor standing / Tower Speakers excellent serviced
The Rogers LS55 like other rogers models with this technology in them has legions of adoring owners due to its audiophile level sound. In this case as the tall slim tower, not the more usual traditional stand mounted affair, as such taking on the simple answer to a living room less dominated by Hi-Fi. This format requires no stands and can fade into the background. Furthermore positioning is less critical, and with a 90DB sensitivity the LS55 is easy to drive and component match (in fact perfect for the famous N Amplifier). The drivers are rellated directly to those of the LS line which is Rogers most sought after set of classic model's i.
E LS1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 /8 //9. Similarly the tweeter is a very sweet Vifa that suits this type of rogers. This together with the usual rogers mastery with both the cabinet design and the crossover & everything a great speaker needs exists. This pair has been stripped down to check the cabinets for leakage at the seams.
This was addressed and all the components checked & any out of spec parts replaced.. The cabinets are very pleasing in outward. Appearance, a tiny amount of age related niks but otherwise they look almost best possible / are good looking.
The front grills are fair with no issues, other than theres no rogers badges on them. All in all if a tower is the best option in the room concerned (and as far as all listeners are concerned) an LL55 in original working condition represents one of the highest bang for buck answers to affordable high fidelity. And this model tends to sleep on the market somewhat oddly as it will keep up with the much higher priced used M no problem as there no doubt of tthe LS55's ability to deliver amazing rogers performance for a long time to come once well serviced. An almost mammoth packing job this, & need to been sent in two separate cartons.
