Ruark Crusader Mark One Floorstanding Speakers - Lovely Condition for their age. Complete with original grills (which have recently been recovered - so are like new). These Mk 1 units are really rare now - the drivers include the superb Dynaudio D76 AF Midrange and Rogers bass drivers (unlike the Mk 2, which used different bass units).

They are in Mahogany finish, and for their age the cabinets are in very good condition - no significant scratches or dents - just minor marks commensurate with age. The real wood veneer is matched for each pair of speakers - and they are very heavy units/really well-crafted cabinets.

Being front ported they can be positioned near a rear wall - but you need a large room and decent distance between them to perform at their best. They also need a reasonably powerful/quality amp to get the best from them. If you get that combination right and use a decent source they are really revealing and detailed speakers. They measure 90cm high, and at the plinth are 32 cm deep and 27 cm wide (narrower at the top, being 27 deep and 24 wide). Note that the Granite plinths they are shown on in the photos are not included in the sale.
