Very good condition in a non-smoking house. No issues and no repair in the past.

The speakers have worked fine and great. No changes or no engineering in the crossover and any other components. They are in the original status. Have not felt the need to do so.

Slight and usual wears on the wood surface, we have never painted or applied any coatings to make them look better. They just have nice natural flavor of their ages.

Even compared with the modern floor-standing speakers today, CS 1.5 has strong appeal at this asking price, remarkably vivid, revealing and high fidelity with a wide sound stage, if driven by the right power amplifier that has a capability to drive low impedance speakers, with stable high damping factor to the low impedance. I have paired it with Krell KAV300i which is listed separately. Thiel has been led by Jim Thiel, one of the few true innovators in American high-end audio, but very unfortunately it had a rough recent history as you might be aware.
