I only opened the box to photograph. An Owner commented as follows. Not like a polite British lounge speaker.
Suited old rock and jazzy vinyl in my system using a 15wpc SET valve amp. Some sharp 80's cuts sounded a bit loud and crispy. I found myself digging through old musician music.Dire Straits first album came to life along with Billy Cobham Total Eclipse. Even the 2nd Eat Static album Implant revealed unheard trippy swirls. A review of the larger model Celius on tnt-audio with an extra bass driver said it was aided by a strong amplifier.
My guess is they are suited to smooth electronics that are not bright or brash, perhaps a Class A solid state amp with some cojona's. Inca Tech Claymore springs to mind.. I heard fresh detail and picked up on some new bongos unnoticed with previous 8 Midbass 2-way speakers. Bass seemed light until a sudden deep note comes along when they yeild but then its gone nice and tightly.
They don't bloat or homogenise bottom end. You can hear the nuance of individual bass notes and kick drums. In a 3 x 4m room there was plenty bass. In bigger lofty rooms maybe they would roll off. For other locations would be subject to additional charge to be agreed.
